SUMMER '25 CALENDAR
2024 - 25 promises to be a year of adventure and growth in many ways. Spiritually, we will set our community, our country and our world on fire with that "Crazy Americano" attitude we are known for worldwide: relentless energy, service to all and deepening our individual lives through unique and innovative ministry.
LONG-TERM CALENDAR
OUR SUMMERS WILL BE BUSY, ADVENTUROUS, AND LIFE CHANGING! Beginning with our World Youth Day Trip to Portugal in 2023 and ending with our World Youth Day Trip to South Korea in 2027, this 5 year span will be EPIC as we share our one-of-a-kind frenzied faith with the whole of our country and world!
WORLD YOUTH JUBILEE 2025

This coming summer we will travel to Rome, Italy to attend mass with the Pope and 1.5 million other Catholic youth from all around the world!

Our Group
Metro Detroit United
As you see above, we are Metro United. We have 12 pilgrims from St. Lawrence, 9 pilgrims from JWJ (St. Jane/St. Rene) and 2 pilgrims from Our Lady Star of the Sea going on the 2025 pilgrimage. This will be my 8th WYD as a youth leader, my son's second as a youth leader, but 3rd overall. This picture is of our group in Portugal for WYD 2023. Many of the pilgrims traveling with our group in 2025 will be experiencing WYD for the first time. A few went to PortugaI. I cannot wait to see how our faith is ignited! Here is a little bit about our trip...
About the world youth jubilee 2025 TRIP to rome!

Departure
We are leaving on July 22, 2025 from Toronto, Ontario!
First Stop
LAYOVER: We will have a layover in Lisbon, Portugal, where we spent two weeks for World Youth Day 2023.
Arrive in rome
We will arrive in Rome, Italy on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, and spend one night in Rome before heading to the island of Malta for Days in the Diocese type activities.
Days in thE DIOCESE
We will be spending 4 days, 3 nights in Malta, getting involved in the community with service work and visiting St. Paul's Catacomb, St. Agatha Church, the capital of Valletta and the island of Goto.
TRANSITION
We will return to Rome on Sunday, July 27 to begin our Jubilee journey.
World Youth JUBILEE
We will spend an entire week in Rome, Italy, totally entrenched in Jubilee activities. We will spend time with the pope and witness the canonization of St. Pierre Giorgio Frassati.
Arrival at Home
We will arrive back in Toronto on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Thank You Party!
We will be hosting a "Thank You" party for our sponsors and supporters in late August.
