FIRST EUCHARIST, LESSON ONE : WEEK OF MARCH 6 - 12, 2023
I Belong to a Loving Community
Read the weekly lesson and email me the answers to the questions.
Extra activity: on the first page of your weekly lesson, there is a statement,
they ask you to ask someone: I believe in Jesus because_____?
I would like you to ask that statement to every family member you see. How many different answers did you get? Did anyone give you the same answer?
Please continue to say your prayers-
The Our Father, The Hail Mary, The Act of Contrition, The Glory Be to the Father.
Remember: There are so many reasons for us to believe in Jesus. There are so many ways that Jesus shows us He is in our lives. I know it’s hard to do church activities now, but all the people who belong to your church believe in Jesus and they are all going to support you as you prepare to make your First Eucharist.
This is an exciting time in your Catholic life and I am so happy to help you prepare for your special day.
FIRST EUCHARIST, LESSON TWO: WEEK OF MARCH 13 - 19, 2023
OUR COMMUNITY REMEMBERS JESUS
Read the weekly lesson and email me the answers to the question. If you are not attending mass at this time, on the last page, draw a picture of you at church.
Extra: here’s a story for you to read
One day, some parents bought their children to Jesus after he had been teaching all day. Jesus’ friends told the parents to take the children away.
“Jesus is too tired, don’t bother him” they said.
Jesus heard this and said, “I want the children to come to me. Come, children”
He gathered the children around him. He talked to them and asked them questions about what they liked to do and what they wanted to be when they grew up. Then he blessed them and sent them back to their parents who were waiting for them.
Please continue to say your prayers-
The Our Father, The Hail Mary, The Act of Contrition, The Glory Be to the Father.
Remember: Jesus loves children and wants to teach you how to live right. You can talk to Him through prayer every day.
FIRST EUCHARIST, LESSON THREE: MARCH 20 - 26, 2023
JESUS GATHERS PEOPLE TOGETHER
Read the weekly lesson and email me the answers to the questions.
Extra activity: What is your favorite meal to eat with your family? Why?
What holiday do you celebrate with a big meal? What is the largest number of people you remember sitting around your table? Draw a picture of that happy time.
Please continue to say your prayers-
The Our Father, The Hail Mary, The Act of Contrition, The Glory Be to the Father.
Remember: You gather around a table as a family many times. You eat and talk about what happened during the day.
You share many times like birthdays and holidays around a table. These are special times, eating and drinking with people you love, and people who love you. Gathering around a table to share a meal is a very comfortable and happy feeling for you.
Jesus calls us to gather around His table (the alter) and share His body and blood. He wants this time to be special for you. Everyone is invited to this table.
Jesus loves you whether you’re short or tall, He sees the good, the very good, inside us all.
FIRST EUCHARIST, LESSON FOUR: MARCH 27 - APRIL 2, 2023
JESUS’ SPECIAL SUPPER
Read the weekly lesson and email me the answers to the questions.
Extra activity: Did your every make bread with your family? If we were in class today, that would be our project. Maybe you could make a loaf of bread with your family. It takes time, but it’s worth it. It’s fun to watch it rise and then smell it while it bakes. And it tastes so good when you eat it warm out of the oven. I hope you get a chance to do this- ask your mom or dad, or grandma or grandpa!
Please continue to say your prayers-
The Our Father, The Hail Mary, The Act of Contrition, The Glory Be to the Father.
Remember: When you are at mass and the priest is changing the bread and wine into Jesus’ body and blood, you will hear these words: “take and eat, this is my Body. Take and drink, this is my Blood. Do this in memory of me”
Listen for these words. Jesus told his followers to go share this to everybody in remembrance of Him. Soon you will be receiving it. Remember Jesus’ story and when you get older, you can share it with others too.
Jesus gave us life and people to share with. His love will last forever.
FIRST EUCHARIST, LESSON FIVE: APRIL 3 - 9, 2023
OUR COMMUNITY SHARES A MEAL

These are all items that help us celebrate together as a community.
Please continue to say your prayers-
The Our Father, The Hail Mary, The Act of Contrition, The Glory Be to the Father.
Remember: The church is a community of Jesus’ followers. We pray together. We gather around the alter. We praise and thank God. We are His people and the church is His holy house.
