In January of 2026, JWJ Catholic Academy began a new, innovative concept in Young Adult ministry inspired by our Jubilee trip to Rome. The ministry features monthly sessions led by the young adults themselves who conceive, construct, and execute the meetings, allowing the Holy Spirit to take over once the inspiration and hard work is complete. With a name, a logo, a meaning and a mission, this group is ready to make a difference here, there, and everywhere!
We are called Lost Stars. We may sometimes seem lost on our journey of faith, but that is not a bad thing. We are young, we are searching, and God assures us we are counted, named, and known. "The number of stars have been counted, and each called by name." Psalm 147:4
We have monthly meetings, inspired and led by our very own young adults. They are wild, they are crazy, they are sincere, they are sacred, and they are incredibly deep and personal. We will change the world in our own innovative way.

ON FEBRUARY 22, 2026, we met for a session called "Adore & Roar" led by young adults Carlie Sienkowski (Adore) and Kevin Trotta (Roar). We spent 45 minutes in Eucharistic Adoration and the rest of the time in Slam Poetry, fun, and fellowship. It was an epic afternoon, including a post meeting radio interview of Carlie and Kevin for a local broadcast.

ADORE: Eucharistic Adoration

ROAR: Slam Poetry

ON JANUARY 25, 2026, we met for a session called "Lost Stars" led by young adults Andrew Sopek, Sofia Mansour, and Danielle Griffor. We spent time, amidst a snowstorm, in small group discussion, in classrooms, in the bride's room, in the church, in large group sessions. We heard songs, shared lyrics, and heard a heart-felt testimony of faith. We closed our eyes and raised our hands, knowing we are all lost stars trying to light up the dark.
